Evagelising Muslims
In the southwest, where the Yoruba ethnic group predominates, Christians and Muslims reside in equal numbers. While most Yorubas practice either Christianity or Islam, the practice of traditional Yoruba religious beliefs continues. Southern ethnic groups are predominantly Christian.
This is one of the reasons that Hope Ministries Africa Network is started from southwest Nigeria. There is a chunk of Muslim population many of whom are open to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. There are variants of the Islamic religion needing reaching. They consist of the very liberal and social Muslims to the middle of the road and then the fanatical variants. We are planted in the midst of these as well as the some – not too many traditionalist.
The need to do missions within the southwest in order to reach them is critical at this moment as we leverage on the economic hardship and poverty to provide hope in Christ to many. This is where we have adopted and incorporated the strategy of carrying out medical outreaches and food evangelism to show the people that God cares for them.
As you may notice in our picture gallery, there is the mix crowd of Muslims and Christians in all our outdoor events to evangelise the people.
